Today was a very special one for Furry Friends as we made our very first visit to Kirkella Mansions — and what a beautiful visit it was. 🥰
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly by residents and staff, and it wasn’t long before our animals were making themselves at home and bringing plenty of smiles along the way.
One of the things we love most about visiting care homes is seeing how naturally animals can spark conversation. Throughout our visit, residents began sharing stories and memories from their younger years — reminiscing about animals they had owned, experiences from years gone by and moments they perhaps hadn’t thought about for quite some time. ❤️
There was plenty of laughter, lots of cuddles and some really lovely conversations. Sometimes it only takes the sight, sound or feel of an animal to bring a memory flooding back, and being able to sit and listen as those stories are shared is such a special part of what we do.
Our care home visits will always hold a particularly special place in our hearts. It’s not simply about bringing animals through the door; it’s about the connections, conversations and moments that happen because they’re there. 🐾
