What a fabulous day we’ve had at Furry Friends Animal Therapy, with three wonderful visits and plenty of smiles, cuddles and special moments along the way.
With temperatures soaring, keeping both our animals and the people we visit comfortable was our biggest priority throughout the day.
Animal welfare is always at the heart of everything we do, so we made sure our furry and feathered team had plenty of outdoor breaks, time to rest, access to fresh water and opportunities to cool down between interactions.
We were also incredibly fortunate that all three of the venues we visited had air conditioning — something we were particularly grateful for today! It meant everyone could relax and enjoy their animal-assisted therapy sessions in a much cooler and more comfortable environment.
Despite the sunshine outside, our visits were as busy as ever with lots of interaction, conversation and, of course, plenty of cuddles.
One of our favourite things about what we do is seeing the different ways people respond to the animals. For some, it’s the excitement of meeting them and learning more about them. For others, it’s simply enjoying the calm companionship of having an animal sitting beside them or taking a quiet moment to stroke them.
Those seemingly little moments can often be the most special.
Days like today are also a reminder that successful animal-assisted visits are about much more than simply arriving with our animals. We’re constantly considering their comfort and wellbeing, adapting our sessions when necessary and making sure they’re enjoying their time just as much as the people they meet.
Happy animals make for happy visits.

We think our animal team will definitely have earned a good rest tonight!
