Vet checkup for our giant Belgium blue!

It was an unexpected little outing for Jack this evening, after we noticed that our lovely boy had developed an eye infection. 🐰

Whenever something doesn’t seem quite right with one of our animals, we always want to get it checked rather than leave it and hope for the best, so off to the vets we went!

Thankfully, Jack was in very good hands. He was given a thorough check-over and has now started treatment for his eye infection, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on him over the next few days and making sure he gets all the medication — and extra TLC — he needs.

While we were there, we also took the opportunity to get Jack’s annual vaccinations up to date, so he managed to turn one vet visit into a full little health MOT! Of course, no visit would be complete without the all-important weigh-in too.

A big thank you to Medivet Sutton-on-Hull

As many of you know, when you have as many different animals as we do, you soon end up getting to know quite a few veterinary practices! Different animals have different needs, and we’re incredibly lucky to have a number of fantastic veterinary teams we can turn to.

Tonight’s visit was to Medivet Sutton-on-Hull, and once again, they were absolutely brilliant with Jack.

From the moment we arrived, he was treated with so much care and kindness. Having vets who understand how to handle our animals calmly and make their visits as stress-free as possible means such a lot to us.

A huge thank you to the whole team for taking such wonderful care of our boy.

For now, Jack is back home where he belongs, with his medication, plenty of TLC and lots of people keeping a watchful eye on him.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before that eye is looking much better and Jack is completely back to his usual self.

Get well soon, Jack!
