Some days remind you exactly why you do what you do.
This week, the Furry Friends team visited Tickton Primary, Compass School, and Mallard Court Care Home in Bridlington — three very different settings, but all filled with the same thing… connection.
Three visits, endless smiles.
Our little therapy team came along for the journey — Audrey the sugar glider, our skinnypigs, the giant rabbit, Monty the python, our bearded dragon, hedgehog, tortoise, and even our African snails. Each one bringing something different, each one playing their part in creating calm, comfort, curiosity, and joy.
There’s something really special about watching those moments happen.
Whether it’s a child meeting an animal for the first time, someone building confidence, or a resident gently stroking an animal and just being in the moment — those interactions matter more than words can explain.
It’s never just about the animals.
It’s about what they create.
A sense of ease.
A spark of interest.
A moment of calm.
We love seeing how much people enjoy meeting — and snuggling — our little therapy team, but more than that, we love what those moments mean for each person.
Three visits.
So many small, meaningful moments.
And we wouldn’t change it for anything.
